Known as both the Hell of the North and the Queen of the Classics, Paris Roubaix is the most infamous race in the cycling calendar, owing to the brutal cobbled sectors that define this Spring Classic. Offering the ultimate test of both professional and amateur, Paris Roubaix offers a unique experience, with Le Domestique Tours proud to present our two night Paris Roubaix 2018 package, combining the amateur Paris Roubaix 2018 sportive on Saturday 7 April 2018 with the professional race on Sunday 8 April 2018, to make the perfect weekend for a hardcore cyclist.
While not tackling the full pro race route, the Paris Roubaix 2018 sportive remains one of the hardest amateur events in the world, with a unique parcours that promises an unadulterated Hell of the North experience. Covering 172km including 50km of cobbles, riders and equipment are pushed to their limits as they assault more than 25 sectors of pave that have made and broken so many professional’s reputations in the race’s 100+ year history, on route to the very same iconic finish line used by the pros in the Roubaix Velodrome. The flawless support of the Le Domestique Tours team provides our riders with everything they need to survive this epic ride – private feed stops, mechanical support and a private broom wagon service.
One of the toughest single day events in the world, your experience of the Paris Roubaix sportive will remain with you for life.
The 2017 edition of the Hell of North will see professionals tackle 257km, with 27 sectors of cobbles ranging from 300m in-length to 3.7km, through the iconic Trouee d’Arenberg and Carrefour de l’Arbre and many more, on route to the grand finish at the iconic Velodrome in Roubaix. With the northern European professionals usually dominating the pro race and fighting for the honour of the hardest rider in the peloton, the pro race promises and deliver fireworks and we’ll be there in multiple locations on the roadside as the riders come clattering past. Little can prepare you for the sensory overload of a fast approaching peloton impacting the cobbles – if you love cycling as much as we do, this is an experience you will savour for the rest of your days.
Will it be Hayman going back to back in 2018, will we see the re-emergence of one of the classic specialists like Tom Boonen or will Peto Sagan build on his 2016 classics form? We can guarantee one thing we’ll be there on the side of the road, ready to see the action unfold, with front row seats to the Queen of the Spring Classics.
“The support during the sportive was perfect, always at the right place at the right time. The pro race experience was incredible, jumping from cobbled sector to cobbled sector perfectly timed and planned by our guide, leaving us to enjoy the spectacle – if you are a fan of pro cycling you HAVE to experience it”
