Marmotte Pyrenees
So it’s official, the Marmotte is heading to the Pyrenees on Sunday 28 August 2016, keeping its reputation intact as one of the toughest sportive brands in the calendar, with a Marmotte Pyrenees 174km, 5,000m route that tackles the Col du Tourmalet, Hourquette d’Ancizan, Col d’Aspin, Col du Tourmalet and a grand finale on Luz Ardiden. If we were building an ultimate one day route in the Pyrenees for the true mountain climber, this would be it.
Our three night 26 – 29 August Marmotte Pyrenees package bases riders at the foot of the Col du Tourmalet and Luz Ardiden in the 3* Hotel Montaigu, a hotel familiar to guests who have stayed there during the King of the Mountains TdF and fondly remembered for its spacious rooms, perfect location and fantastic bar and restaurant. Our base allows riders to remain in one place for the duration of the long weekend, perfectly located at the bottom of Luz Ardiden for the Marmotte Pyrenees’ finish and only a short drive from the startline in our fully customised support vehicles. Best of all, with such a perfect location, riders who wish to do so are able to pre-ride the Tourmalet and Luz Ardiden, on the day’s prior to the Marmotte Pyrenees, right from the hotel door.
For the Marmotte Pyrenees itself, Le Domestique riders will benefit from our private feed station which stocks a full range of Torq nutrition products, handmade bars and balls and water, together with providing mechanical assistance, a place to relax for a few minutes in the shade and words of encouragement for those that need it. The Le Domestique Tours Marmotte Pyrenees package provides everything you need to ensure success on the day.
Full package details can be found in the Itinerary and FAQ sections below, but if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
